On the occasion of the Summer Show 2025 Takis — Downtown/Normandy, Laffanour Galerie Downtown presents a selection of magnetic works by Greek artist Vassilakis Takis.

Among them are large Magnetic Balls, Télélumières, and Musicals, echoing the universe of the major exhibition dedicated to the artist at the Centre Pompidou in 1981, where Takis harnessed the invisible energy of magnetic fields to create levitating compositions, suspended between tension and grace.

Takis’ Signals are staged in an outdoor installation: these slender metal rods, animated by natural forces, embody the artist’s ongoing dialogue with wind, space, and waveforms.

The ensemble is completed by Musical Télésculptures—true three-dimensional scores, these works resonate with an imperceptible sonic energy, inviting viewers to a form of inner listening.

Brought together for this annual gathering at Downtown/Normandy, these works offer an immersion into the singular world of a creator who turned the invisible into sculptural matter.
