Laffanour | Galerie Downtown is pleased to present MY BARN SALE, an exhibition drawn from the personal collection of Philippe Ségalot, assembled over nearly twenty years in his home Upstate New York.

Invited by François Laffanour, Philippe Ségalot unveils for the first time this deeply personal ensemble, bringing together Shaker furniture, eighteenth- and nineteenth-century American vernacular pieces, utilitarian objects, baskets, boxes, paintings, and curiosities. Rather than a collection shaped by an encyclopedic approach, each object was sought out, acquired, and lived with, brought together through a shared sense of simplicity, proportion, and function.

At the heart of the exhibition is an exceptional group of Shaker furniture, whose radical simplicity, constructive intelligence, and purity of line reveal a striking modernity that continues to resonate with architects, designers, and collectors today.
