On the occasion of Salone del Mobile, Laffanour | Galerie Downtown presents Nectar Vessels Bronzes by Kris Van Assche at Fondazione Sozzani, marking the series’ first presentation in Milan.

This body of bronze vessels emerges from a reflection on time, materiality, and the autonomy of objects. Moving beyond functional containers, the works unfold as sculptural forms in their own right, where a raw exterior contrasts with a polished, luminous interior, inviting the gaze inward.

Conceived as a “suspended moment in time,” the installation offers a contemplative pause within the fast pace of the fair. In Milan, this notion expands into an immersive environment, envisioned as a quiet landscape in which the works appear with subtle presence.

Developed through an ongoing dialogue between Kris Van Assche and François Laffanour, the project explores the craftsmanship of bronze through a meticulous process, revealing a tension between mineral surface and inner luminosity.
